Padmavati: Ranveer Singh trolled for farewell msg to Alauddin Khilji

Ranveer Singh has completed shooting of Padmavati movie in which he plays the character of Alauddin Khilji. He finally bid adieu to the beard and long locks, but before doing that he posted his farewell to the character on social media.

Ranveer, who is quite active on social media, took to Instagram to post a sketch of his look as Alauddin with a caption, “And it’s a wrap! Goodbye Alauddin. 1 year and a few weeks later, I bid thee farewell. May your restless soul find its peace… Khilji.”



However, his post didn’t go down well with some of his followers, who didn’t shy away from voicing their displeasure. Most trollers were aghast about how the actor could wish ‘peace’ for someone who was a ‘killer’ who went on a rampage killing innocent lives.

There were also some who were upset about Ranveer being a part of a film that is distorting history. Thankfully, there were some who stood by their star. They applauded his for playing such a strong character, even though it is negative and also for being so dedicated towards the roles he plays.
