Saudi Arabia and Iran tension increases

Saudi minister issued a warning to Tehran against backing Lebanon’s Hezbollah which led to increasing the tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Saudi Arabia has accused Lebanon of declaring war against it because of aggression by the Iran-backed Lebanese Shiia group Hezbollah.

Saudi minister for Gulf affairs Thamer al-Sabhan warned Lebanon it would be “dealt with as a government declaring war on Saudi Arabia”.

Thamer al-Sabhan said his country won’t allow Hezbollah’s “acts of aggression” to continue.

He went on to accuse Hezbollah in every “terrorist act” that threatened Saudi Arabia.

“The Lebanese must choose between peace or aligning with Hezbollah,” Thamer al-Sabhan told Dubai based Al Arabiya channel.
