Trump supports arrest of princes in Saudi Arabia

US President Donald Trump has supported Saudi Arabia's crackdown on princes, several high level officers and businessmen last week. Donald Trump tweeted late on Monday evening saying that he has great confidence in King Salman. In a follow-up tweet, Trump said that those who have been arrested have been "milking" the country.

Donald Trump also spoke to King Salman over the phone. According to a statement released by the White House, King Salman expressed his condolences over the recent shootings in Texas.

"President Donald J. Trump spoke yesterday with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia," a White House statement read. "King Salman expressed his condolences for the recent terrorist attack in New York City. President Trump thanked the King for his support and emphasised America's commitment to defeating ISIS."

Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, arrested 11 princes and several high level officers and businessmen under charges of corruption. The arrested men are being held in Hotel Ritz Carlton and many other five-star hotels across the capital city of Riyadh.
