PIL against Tipu Jayanti rejected by Karnataka High Court

A PIL was filed against the celebration of Tipu jayanti few days ago. The plea requested that Tipu jayanti should not be celebrated. Karnataka high Court has rejected the plea today.

The petitioner, Kokkalemada P Manju Chinnappa from South Kodagu, said that court has rejected their plea but has asked the state government to respond in 4 weeks regarding this matter.

He also said that they will keep fighting against this.

Now, with this ruling of HC, the state government can go ahead and celebrate Tipu Jayanti on November 10.

Senior police officials have been instructed to make sure that the celebrations take place without any obstacles. This comes after the BJP threatened of mass protests on the occasion
