Idea's new plan of Rs 179 to counter Jio and Airtel

After Airtel now Idea is the tough competition for Jio. Idea has launched a new recharge plan for pre-paid subscribers that offers unlimited voice calling and 1GB data at just Rs 179. The validity of the plan will be for 28days.

Idea has launched this plan to counter the plans from Airtel and Jio. Recently Jio increased the amount of data that was available to subscribers using the Rs 149 plan. Airtel, meanwhile, has announced a new Rs 448 plan that gives per-paid users 70GB data for 70 days. This data is offered by Airtel with a cap of 1GB per day.

"In today's world of absolute connectivity, a phone call from an old friend still brings a smile to our face, and this is the creative concept of the campaign. With our Rs 179 recharge we will enable customers to continue their conversations non-stop," Sashi Shankar, chief marketing officer, Idea Cellular said.
