Uttar Pradesh ATS arrests ISIS suspect from Mumbai Airport

Mumbai, November 05: The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Sunday nabbed an ISIS suspect from Mumbai’s International Airport.

Abu Zaid, a native of Azamgarh town in Uttar Pradesh, allegedly ran a terror network from Saudi Arabia.

"We have arrested a terror suspect Abu Zaid from Mumbai airport," ADG (Law and Order) Anand Kumar told the media.



Zaid is believed to have run an ISIS network involving several youths from Western Uttar Pradesh while staying in Dubai.

"He will be brought to Lucknow on a transit remand and will be produced in the court. We will take him in police custody for interrogating him," the ADG said.
