Arun Jaitley urges Investors to invest in Food processing sector

NewDelhi Nov 4: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday has urged foreign investors to participate in India's food sector so that they help in Doubling Farmers income by 2022.

Finance Minister at the World Food India has said that "not only are our doors open…but the experience of our investors has been that they have always gone back happy, and I am sure that those who invest in this sector will also have the same experience". He has added that "India is willing for a change. India is changing".

The Minister highlighted the great investment potential in the food sector and pointed out that "the structural reforms in the economy will improve the quality of life and lifestyle of the people. This, in turn, will benefit the food industry."

"The traditional concept of agriculture and the farm to kitchen relationship will undergo a change. This is already visible in a large part of urban India," he added.
