Aadhaar linking made easy use OTP from Dec 1

Aadhaar card linking with bank accounts and mobile number has become compulsory due to which many are worried about the process. But, there is good news for the one who didn't had time to go and link their Aadhaar with phone number by providing their fingerprint to telcom service providers.

As per UIDA announcement on Thursday from December 1 , the customers will have choice to verify sim with Aadhaar without providing fingerprint and without the need to go anywhere.

This means that customers can verify their phone numbers from their home itself by simply using OTP which will verify their number and link it with Aadhaar.

Those who have purchased mobile SIMs from telcoms in recent months will likely have their Aadhaar linked already as UID is required at the time of application. The deadline for linking Aadhaar with mobile SIMs is February 6, 2018.
