Congress is a laughing club says MODI

Kangra, November 02: PM Narendra Modi attacked Congress in a poll rally in Himachal Pradesh, says state's ruling party has become a laughing club.

Addressing a BJP campaign rally at Kangra in Himachal Pradesh, which goes to polls in next week, the Prime Minister said the state has suffered under the Congress and on election day, the people will bid farewell to those who have looted them.

"The Congress has now become a laughing club. Their chief minister (Virbhadra Singh) is out on bail in a corruption case and the party writes 'zero tolerance on corruption' in their election manifesto," PM Modi said, eliciting laughter and applause from the gathering.



Continuing his attack against the Congress, Modi said people across the country were engaged in Swachhta Abhiyan (cleanliness campaign) and were "wiping out" the old party whenever they got the opportunity through elections.

"It is time to save Himachal Pradesh from those who looted it...From danavas (monsters)," he added.

Himachal Pradesh goes to the polls on November 9.
