Navy to get 111 utility helicopters

The 111 utility helicopters proposal for navy which was long pending, was cleared by defence ministry on Tuesday.
The Indian Navy utility helicopters will cost around Rs 21738 crore according to reports.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Defence Acquisation Council, which was headed by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
According to reports the made in India concept has shown its effect on this proposal and out of 111 about 95 helicopters will be manufactured in India whereas another 16 will be bought .
