Tunnel collapses near Nuclear test site in North Korea,200 dead

North Korea Oct 31: In a major disaster, a Tunnel has collapsed near North Korea’s Punggye-Ri facility a testing site for nuclear weapons leaving around 200 people dead.

Sources said that a major a collapse occurred during the construction of an underground tunnel at the Punggye-Ri nuclear test site in the northeast of North Korea on October 10. and 100 people were killed in the collapse.Another 100 people subsequently died while attempting to rescue the first group of entombed workers.



Experts claimed that the accident occurred due to the weakening of the surrounding grounds due to the sixth nuclear test conducted here on September 3. They have also claimed that two major earthquakes of magnitude 6.3 and 4.1 occurred after testing the missile and these were not reported by North Korea .

Foreign experts have urged the country to stop such nuclear tests so that china wouldnt be affected because of the radioactive spill.
