Indian railway releases new time-table from Nov 1st

New Delhi Oct 31: The Indian Railways has released a new timetable effective from Nov 1 to reduce the travel time of 500 trains across the country from 15 minutes to 2 hours.The railways has taken up this exercise after Piyush Goyal new railway minister has issued guidelines for framing innovative timetables.

# 65 trains on Northern Railway have speeded up

# 51 express and 36 passenger trains running under the Southern Railway (SR) have been speeded up

# 37 express and 19 local passenger trains under the East Coast Railway (ECoR) will run faster.

# Bhopal-Jodhpur Express will reach 95 minutes.

# Guwahati-Indore Special will complete its journey 115 minutes early

# Ghazipur-Bandra Terminus Express will be completed 95 minutes earlier

# 22 trains in the North Central Railway (NCR) have also been speeded up

# Rameswaram Express will run faster by 50 minutes

# Chennai-Sengottai Silambu Express will run faster by 50 minutes.

# Chennai Egmore-Madurai Pandian Express Pandiyan Express run faster by 35 minutes.

# Bi-weekly Mangalore-Kacheguda Express will run faster by 235 minutes (close to four hours).

# 17 trains will runs speeder under Southwestern railway (SWR)

# Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru Jn Karwar Express will run 45 minutes faster.

# Puducherry-Mangalore Weekly Express will be 75 minutes faster.

# Chennai Egmore-Mangaluru Express will run faster by 60 mins.

# 17429/17430 Tirupati-Hyderabad Deccan-Tirupati Rayalaseema Express extended upto Nizamabad.

# Train No. 12504/12503 Kamakhya – Bengaluru Cantt - Kamakhya Express frequency increased from Weekly to Bi-Weekly.

# 64 Trains would be speeded up in SCR zone

# Train No. 20809 Sambalpur-H.S.Nanded Nagavalli Express will run faster by 2 hrs 30 mts.

# 12749/12750 Machilipatnam-Secunderabad-Machilipatnam Express extended up to Bidar.

# 11304/11303 Kolhapur-Hyderabad-Kolhapur Express extended to Manuguru.

# 20811 Vishakapatnam -Nanded train express would run faster by 100 minutes.
