Andhra Pradesh stands in 3rd position

Amravati, Oct 30: The statistics Provided by National Highways Authorities of India (NHAI) revealed that Andrapradesh stood 3rd in the list of states with the highest accident rates in 2017.

The statistics revealed that

# AP witnessed 30,045 road accidents in this year

# 8,210 people have died in these accidents which makes 7.52 percent of the country's total.

# 40 percent of the accidents occurred because of overspeeding

# 20 percent due to drunken driving

# 18 percent for negligent driving

# 12 percent accidents were caused due to driving without rest

# 5 percent due to technical failures.

# 60 % of accidents took place between 2 am and 5 am
