Himachal Pradesh elections: BJP-Donald Trump won by taking Modi name

The Bharatiya Janata Party began its campaign in Himachal Pradesh with giving a shock to the public. Himachal Pradesh is scheduled to go to polls on November 9. In a bid to woo voters, the party on Friday claimed that the President of the United States, Donald Trump won the Presidential Elections in the US after he used Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name.

Addressing a gathering in Tissa town of Churah constituency in Chamba, former chief minister of the state Prem Kumar Dhumal said, “During the last days of his campaign, Trump said he would work like India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And he won.”

“Everyone was sure that Republican Party candidate Donald Trump will not win the presidential elections in the USA. But he witnessed a huge surge in his popularity soon after Trump promised people to work like Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take the US forward,” he further added. Dhumal was campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Hans Raj.
