Lucknow-Agra Expressway: Indian air Force touch-go exercise

The Lucknow-Agra Expressway which was closed for Air Force exercise showcased excellent skills of Indian Air Force who performed a mega-security drill on Tuesday.

About 16 Indian air Force planes performed touch-and-go landings. Top line IAF combat jets – Sukhoi-30, Mirage 2000 and Jaguar – performed breathtaking touch-go exercise infront of hundreds of people during the 2-hour drill showcasing their capability to land on highways in emergency situations.



Prior to the touch down of fighter jets on the expressway, a Super Hercules C-130J aircraft landed on the highway. IAF’s Special Forces Garud commandos got off the transport aircraft and took positions on either side of the road to secure it.

India witnessed landing of Transport plane on highway for the first time, then three Jaguar combat jets performed touch-and-go manoeuvre. After which six Mirage 2000 jets showed their skills. Last came the deadly Su-30 MKIs, three of Su-30 MKIs performed touch-and-go to showcasing how they can land if war like situation arise.
