Dialogue for Peaceful kashmir-Centres Steps

The central government is initiating steps to find a solution for the vexed Kashmir problem. The government is trying to put into practice what Modi's independence day speech opined. It is not use of bullets, but winning the hearts of Kashmir is important was the jist of his speech on Aug 15. Now the Home minister Rajnath Singh actions are befitting those words. This time the separatist Hurriyat Connected leaders also will be accommodated if they are willing.

For this purpose, an experienced and problem acquainted former IPS officer is appointed by centre. Former Intelligence Bureau (IB) chief Dinesh Sharma is entrusted with responsibility of choosing leaders, with whom to take and what points they have to discuss and other details.

Though Opposition is mocking this as backtracking it is certainly a forward and progressive step towards maintaining peace in the valley.Cheif Minister of J& K Mehbooba Mufti wants dialogue as a necessity to bring Peace.Whereas National Conference Chairman Farooq Abdullah wants talks with Pakistan also as necessity.Congress leader Chidambaram commented that centre realised muscular approach as futile in solving the Kashmir imbroglio.

The chosen central government representative Dinesh Sharma has clear grasp of the problem, the people connected with it.National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, is also favoring talks now.The change in thinking on the part of government is that previously it was not the ripe time for talks as agitators could feel their upper hand under those circumstances.

It is also proper to note at a time visits of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson are ahead, this decision came out.If the outcome will be favourable for peace it will be welcome for all. Talks are not meant relaxation for arrested Hurriat leaders by lifting cases on them, sources cautioned.
