Man Caught On Camera Sexually Assaulting Woman, Arrested In Kerala

Kozhikode, October 23: A 33-year-old man was arrested on the charge of sexually harassing a woman in a deserted lane in Kozhikode last week after a video of the incident rocketed around the Internet, here on Sunday.

The Incident took place on YMCA road to Mavur road in Kerala's Kozhikode district.

The CCTV footage of the man attacking a woman went viral on social media.

The one-and-a-half-minute video shows a man attacking a woman, pushing her against the wall and then attacking her as she lies on the ground.

"Visuals caught on CCTV cameras were helpful. The victim had also filed a complaint. There was a similar case against him last year. We will submit a chargesheet soon in the case," SI Babu told to the media.

Jamsheer was produced before a first-class magistrate Sunday and was promptly remanded into judicial custody. He is a resident of Thoppayil near Vellayil.
