Hamraj family to challenge Allahabad HC in Talwar acquittal

After the decision of Allahabad high court which has set free Talwars' for the murder of Aarushi and Hemraj, the family of Hemraj said that if the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) does not move Supreme Court against the Allahabad High Court order, they will ‘knock’ at the door of the Apex court.

Hemraj was killed along with teenager Aarushi Talwar in the infamous 2008 Noida double murder case. This means Hemraj’s family will likely challenge the Allahabad high court order which acquitted Aarushi Talwar’s parents of the murder charges.

Naresh Yadav, the lawyer representing Hemraj’s family said that the victim’s family is seeking justice and they want to move the SC against the court order setting the Talwars free.

Yadav said, “We are waiting for the CBI right now. If they do not move SC as soon as possible, we will then knock the doors of the apex court.”
