Flaw in Google Crome- security threat: reported by Microsoft

A flaw in Google Chrome which can be exploited by hackers was discovered by Microsoft Offensive Security Research team according to reports. Chrome's lack of remote code execution (RCE) mitigations was reported as the flaw by Microsoft which means means the path from memory corruption bug to exploit can be a short one.

Although, Google posted a fix for the flaw after Microsoft spotted the problem, but Microsoft said that fix should be applied before they are public knowledge.

Microsoft Offensive Security Research team, Jordan Rabet, said that Chrome’s process for servicing vulnerabilities can result in the public disclosure of details for security flaws before fixes are pushed to customers. He further said, "Discovery of 'CVE-2017- 5121' indicates that is possible to find remotely exploitable vulnerabilities in modern browsers.

On Friday, according to an Engadget report the fix was posted by Google does not out the vulnerability.
