 25 Lakh people dying in India due to Pollution

New Delhi, Oct 20: The Deaths due to Pollution has reached an alarming rate in India.Experts demanded a ban all over the country on the bursting of firecrackers during Diwali soon.

As per the Lancet Commission on Pollution and Health report, 25 Lakh People have been dying every year in India due to pollution. This is the highest compared to any country in the World. With 18 lakh deaths per year, China occupies the second position.



Globally, 9 million people die every year due to pollution. This is three times more than combined deaths caused by AIDS, TB, and Malaria.

Most of the Pollution related death happen in Developing Nations. Why because, Globalisation, Mining, and Manufacturing are happening in these countries where environmental regulations aren't implemented strictly.
