On Wednesday Forbes released a list of top 20 richest sportsmen in the world for the year of 2017. Cristiano Ronaldo, the footballer was leading the chart with top one position.
Ronaldo earned £70m in the last year, making him the highest paid European sports personality.
Ronaldo could have been on the number one spot in celebrity rating also but lost just by Euro 1m to Harry Potter series author, JK Rowling. Thus Ronaldo occupied the second place.
Ronaldo’s earnings are largely made up of his Real Madrid contract and endorsement deals.
Tennis ace Roger Federer comes in at No 5 having taken Euro 48m in the last 12 months, while Sebastian Vettel is 14th on the list. There is further British representation from Rory McIlroy, who is ninth with earnings of Euro37m, and Conor McGregor is equal 18th with Wales international Gareth Bale.
From India, Virat Kohli is the only crickter to feature in the Top 100 list.
