BSNL Launches Bharath-1 4G Phone to counter Jio

New Delhi, OCT 18: In a move to further intensify the competition in Telecom sector state-owned BSNL has decided to take on Reliance Jio and Bharathi Airtel.The company in a tie-up with Micromax has launched 'Bharath-1 Phone'.

The Phone was launched by the Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha. The Company plans to launch 4G services in the country by Jan 2018.Officials said that the new services would help the customers present in rural areas.They have also said that "many people would Opt for BSNL phones because of the dual sim feature whereas Jio has single sim "



The Main features of the phone are

BSNL has said that "customers can get unlimited 4G services such as voice calling and other internet services for RS 97 per month".
