Kumble Insulted by BCCI

New Delhi, October 18: We knew that Anil Kumble has celebrated his birthday on October 17. From this aspect, the BCCI has formally greeted with a Normal post in the official page Twitter.

They tweeted that, Here's wishing former #TeamIndia bowler @anilkumble1074 a very happy birthday," Due to this tweet, Fans launched an attack on the cricketing body for 'insulting' Kumble.

Kumble, widely touted as one of India's greatest ever, was appointed the coach of the Indian cricket team in June 2016 for a one-year term.

Under his guidance, the Virat Kohli-led Team India won five consecutive Test series from and also reached the ICC Champions Trophy final.



Fans of Kumble were angered, saying the board was playing down the achievements of India's greatest bowler.

"Umm bowler? Wasn't he also Captain and Coach and is India's leading Wicket-taker?" replied television journalist and author Digvijay Singh Deo on Twitter. Soon after the BCCI has deleted the Tweet.
