Canadian PM Justin Trudeau wishes Diwali but get criticised

On Tuesday Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau posted warm wishes for Diwali on Twitter. He wrote “Diwali Mubarak! We're celebrating in Ottawa tonight. HappyDiwali!” reads the caption of the image that has been retweeted nearly 800 times and ‘liked’ by 3.5K users.

But some people didn't like the usage of word 'Mubarak' and criticised him. Some even asked him to correct his sentence. But there were also others who understood the wishes and said that language of words is not important, what's most important is the sentiments behind the message.

Some disliked the word mubarak and said:
"My man you can’t say Mubarak when referring to Diwali"

"PM Justin, thanks for the Deepavali Greetings. Confirm w. CanadainIndia, please amend your tweet. Nobody, but nobody, says "Diwali Mubarak"

Other who supported said:
"You are awesome. Not sure why ppl getting offended by "Mubarak" Respect the sentiments behind, Mubarak just an Arabic word for blessing"
