Revanth Reddy will join in Congress?

New Delhi, Oct 17: The Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy's sudden visit to the national capital Delhi on Monday has created speculation among political circles, as Reddy is going to change his party to Congress.

As Revanth has already been in touch with some of the senior Congress leaders including his relative and ex-Union minister S Jaipal Reddy, his sudden visit to Delhi fueled speculation on his possible jump into the Congress.

At one point of time, rumors were rife that Reddy was in Delhi only to meet AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi in order to formally fix a date for his entry into Congress.

Meanwhile, when Express contacted, Revanth disclosed that he was in Delhi as he had an urgent work relating to a court case. Congress would give the working president post to Revanth Reddy.

The source further disclosed that Revanth has been in touch with Congress leaders. Former Union minister S Jaipal Reddy, who is Revanth's wife's uncle, has assured the young leader in this regard.

"In fact, till a few days ago, Revanth had not maintained a good relationship with Jaipal Reddy. Even during family functions, Revanth used to avoid a direct encounter with him as he had some family issues with him. Now, the situation is gradually changing.

As Congress also doesn't want to lose a potential leader like Revanth, Jaipal Reddy is holding negotiations with the TDP leader on behalf of the Congress leadership," source added.
