Minister KTR expressed unhappiness over Warangal Collector Amrapali

Warangal, Oct 15: The Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration and Rural Development KT Rama Rao has expressed his unhappiness with the civic body and the Warangal district administration for the delay in grounding work despite having funds at their disposal.

Reviewing the development of Warangal city and affairs of Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) at district collectorate here on Saturday, he pointed out that the State government has released Rs. 300 crore last year and Rs. 300 crore this year, of which only Rs. 50 crore was utilized so far.



The government has accorded administrative sanctions for work worth Rs. 283 crore but it has remained a non-starter. Similarly, Rs. 2,960 crore was lying unutilised with the district administration under Smart City.

"The district officials are required to prepare detailed project reports and ensure that the work begins by March 2018 without any delay," he said.

Finally he has warned district Collector Amrapali and asked her to focus on developmental works.
