Liquor sales increased tremendously in Telangana

Hyderabad, Oct 14: As we know that, The new liquor policy is launched in Telangana from October 1. After that, The liquor sales have grown from the last 13days.

In the 12 days, the state has sold liquor worth Rs 700 crores. The People have been drinking the liquor worth above Rs 50 crore per day. Especially, Beer sales have grown tremendously. With the decline of beer in the state, the state has to be imported from the neighboring states.

Earlier, About 7 to 8 lakh cases of beers were imported from other states in the past. But now in October alone four lakh cases of beers are being imported. Beer sales are usually high during the summer season. Despite the month of October, it is surprising the authorities to see growth in liquor sales.

During the period April-September of 2016, The 176 lakh cases of beer were sold, then 223 lakh cases of beers sold for the same period of this year. According to the report, beer sales have been raised 27.15 percent in this year. On average, 12 lakh beers are sold daily.

The excise Officials say that the sales of beer continued to rise because of the hot weather conditions delay in the arrival of the winter season. Telangana is in the top position in the liquor sales in Southern states. Andhra Pradesh is in second place. Officials say that these sales are likely to increase in the coming days.
