TS Deputy CM held a high-level meeting on new zonal system

Hyderabad, Oct 14: The Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari said on Friday that a new zonal system is necessary for the wake of state government increased the number of districts from 10 to 31.

Minister Srihari, chaired a high-level meeting on the new zonal system in the presence of Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Chief Secretary SP Singh and other officials.

He discussed the issue and directed to take the opinion of teachers and unions of teachers in the state for the proposal of the new zonal system.

Mr. Srihari, who was also the Education Minister, said that another round of meeting will be conducted on Oct 21 to take a call on the issue.

He said that the zonal system should be in place as per Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao plan to avoid inconvenience to people of new districts which is possible through a new zonal system.
