Police to give licence on OCT 16 to setup fire cracker stall in Warangal

Warangal, Oct 13: Warangal City Police Commissioner G Sudheer Babu on Thursday has said that "temporary licenses will be issued for traders for selling crackers and has urged the traders to submit applications for setting up stalls to sell firecrackers on the occasion of Diwali".

He has also said that "Traders can freely set up stalls and there is no ban on selling crackers and Warangal is quite a clean city and
non-polluting city ".

Police commissioner has said that the firecrackers stall can be set up at the following places in the city

# Vivekananda Junior College at Warangal

# Kakatiya Degree College at hanamkonda

# Government Junior College at Hanamkonda

# Venkatalaxmi Vegetable Market at kazipet

# Bapujinagar at Kazipet

"Interested traders must obtain a no objection certificate (NOC) from the GWMC and the Fire Department and draw a challan of Rs 500 in the name of the Police Department from SBI and submit the application to the police by October 14 to get permission," Sudheer babu said.

He added that "Scrutiny of the applications and allotment of shops will be done on October 16. The shops will be allotted through the draw of lots system.Traders have also been asked to take all precautionary measures to avoid fire mishaps."
