Bombay HC Condemned killing of people with liberal principles

Bombay High Court division bench of Justices S C Dharmadhikari and Bharti Dangre observed that a trend is evolving to kill all the opposition or people who have liberal views. "There is no respect for liberal values and opinions. People are increasingly being targeted for their liberal principles",said Bombay High Court division bench.

The bench added saying, "This trend of killing all opposition is dangerous. This is giving a bad reputation to the country".

The cases of murder of Comrade Govind Pansare and rationalist Narendra Dabholkar are being heard by this court, after getting the petitions from families of the deceased, to monitor the ongoing investigation. Court also referred to killing of journalist Gauri Lankesh in Bengaluru.
