Vizag is imperfect for establishing new IT firms: Nara Lokesh

Vishakapatnam, Oct 12: The Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh has explained the problems AP Government has been facing to attract major IT Companies to establish their units in the state during his Vishakha tour.

Nara Lokesh said that "There is no social ecosystem in Visakha. There weren't even direct flights. Lack of schools with International Standards is another concern. Hence, IT Firms aren't keen to leave cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad to begin their operations in Visakha."

The Minister clarified there is no possibility of reservation for locals in private jobs. "If such a rule is imposed, No company will come forward to set up their units in the state," he opined.

Lokesh warns IT Firms who hadn't begun their operations despite Government allotting them lands before 2014. He is hopeful that Tirupati will be developed as Cellphone Manufacturing Cluster.
