Opposition parties to be united in Telangana to counter TRS

Hyderabad, Oct 10: The opposition parties have changed their strategy after they have suffered serious setbacks in elections the Telangana state and realized that they have weakened in the state compared to 3 years ago in 2014 when Telangana state is formed.

Currently, the Ruling TRS Party has strengthed itself because of large-scale defections from opposition parties. Currently, the ruling party has a strength of 90 MLAs compared to 63 seats which it has won in 2014.

Recently the party under the leadership of CM K Chandrashekhar Rao has won al the elections conducted in the state in past 3 years including the most prestigious Singareni Collieries Co. Ltd and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Elections

The principal opposition party in the state Congress has not been up to the mark and is been under constant attack from CM so as a strategy to defend themselves and strengthen the opposition in the state they have tied hands with CPI in the recent Singareni elections.

However the electoral alliance failed but still, Congress hopes that this alliance would work. meanwhile, a smaller opposition party BJP which has been permitted to Hyderabad City is trying to gain strength in the party based on the campaign of developmental works launched by PM Modi.

Many at times at past the united alliance have criticized the government on various issues. However, all the parties may not come together united in 2019 elections. Many experts predict that a joint alliance of CPI, Congress, BJP is not possible because of ideological differences.
