Mumbai, October 09: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has fired on Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of Modi Gujarat Visit.

Why before the polls?" he asked during campaigning ahead of the Nanded civic elections.

He also added that "I challenge you to resign from the government and face polls once again. We will show you the Shiv Sena's power. Even during the (Modi) wave, the BJP got votes in Sena's name," Thackeray.

Taking a jibe at the Prime Minister's frequent foreign tours, the Sena chief said that people have started forwarding jokes on social media about the PM of India 'visiting India soon'.

On Sunday, Modi visited Vadnagar, his birthplace in north Gujarat, the first time since he became the prime minister. He also visited his school.
