PV Sindhu donates Kaun Banega Crorepati prize money to Cancer Hospital

Mumbai, Oct 7: The India's ace woman shuttler and Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu, participated in the Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 programme host by Amitabh Bachchan here on Friday.

Amitabh Bachchan has given a grand welcome to PV Sindhu and her family. Much to everyone's delight, Big B had announced before starting the game that he would be rolling out the red carpet for the ace badminton player in the special segment - Nai Chaah Nai Raah.

Later, when PV Sindhu made an appearance with her family, she was surprised to get a special message from coach Pullela Gopichand. Post which, the game started.

She had played and won Rs. 25 lakh in the game.She has decided to hand over the entire prize money she won in the quiz to the Basava Tarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital.

According to a media release, Sindhu, who featured in the show on Sony TV channel on Friday night, is said to have taken the decision for the benefit of the poor cancer patients.
