National Rifle Association to support ban on rapid-fire device

After Las-vegas shooting incident US's National Rifle Association has asked government to review the sale of “bump-stock” devices. Bump-stock are the devices which allow non-automatic firearms to function like automatics.

NRA which has successfully blocked attempts to ban gun, or implement any such laws, backed the protest this time as many Republican lawmakers joined their Democratic colleagues to change gun laws.

It was a big step for the NRA, which is considered as the root of mass shootings.

“The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semi-automatic rifles to function like fully automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations,” the NRA said in a statement, which was greeted around the US as a small but significant shift in the powerful organisation’s position on gun reforms.
