Foot Ball Under-17 World Cup Inaugural

Today our country's capital will host under-17 Football Worldcup.The Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in New Delhi will be the venue for the first match of the tournament. Sports ministry made elaborate arrangements to make the match memorable. The first match is being played between US and Indian Players aged under 17 years.Certainly it will be a feast for the eyes of football enthusiasts.

Though we cannot expect the number of spectators to be equal to that of cricket matches, the sportive spirit required in this game is not at all lesser. Two mighty contenders are America and India.America's well-experienced team will fight India which is like a baby infant in that field. Anyway, India too trained its team well.

All India Foot Ball Federation (AIFF) took them on tour to Europe for Training. Germany Coach who trained our boys was changed and Norton was appointed as coach .He tried his best to make the team competitive.We have to see the outcome soon.

We have to treat the games and sports as catalysts to improve affinity and understanding between nations and societies.These activities inculcate team spirit, improving physical fitness and health.

At a time when young students and youth are attracted towards frivolous habits such as drugs, drinking it is necessary for the government to divert their attention towards such healthy activities .

It is disheartening to know that in New Delhi because of less ticket sales thousands of school children were asked to attend the stadium and make that brim with jubilant sportive youth.
