Banwarilal Purohit to take oath as next Tamil Nadu Governor Tomorrow

Former governor of Assam, Banwarilal Purohit is going to take oath as Tamil Nadu Governor. The ceremony will be held at 9.30 AM tommorrow. Mr Purohit will be 25th governor of Tamil Nadu.

The government bade farewell to Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao, who had been holding additional charge of Tamil Nadu since last year.

Purohit arrived in the city today and was welcomed by Chief Minister K Palaniswami and his deputy O Panneerselvam, Assembly Speaker P Dhanapal and state ministers.

Mr.Purohit name came up when the need for a full time governor was expressed by all.
