Three coaches of goods train derail near Mathura

Mathura Uttar Pradesh, Oct 4: In yet another incident of train derailment three coaches of a goods train derailed on Achhnera-Mathura rail route on Wednesday, affecting the Kasganj-Achhnera rail route.No casualties have been reported in the incident.

The incident is latest in the series of train derailments across the country, some having led to a number of casualties.Last week, 16 coaches of a goods train derailed near Nergundi station in Cuttack, affecting the rail traffic bypassing the district.In September, three wagons of an empty goods train derailed near Dhupguri in Jalpaiguri district.

Recently Passenger train derailments have also increased over the past few months and this has raised a serious concern about the safety measures taken by the railway officials and former railway minister Suresh Prabhu has offered to resign.
