Gavaskar hailed Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli

Nagpur, October 03: Sunil Gavaskar has hailed the Indian Top order batsmen here on Monday.He praised Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Virat Kohli for their outstanding batting.

Gavaskar has hailed India's top-three is probably the best in the world after their seven-wicket win against Australia in Nagpur on Sunday.

"India's top 3 are the world's envy", he told the media.

In absence of Shikhar Dhawan, Rahane stood up and played crucial knocks. His partnerships with Rohit and also skipper Virat Kohli, who bats at number three, have been crucial to India's successful runs.

Rohit ended the series as the highest run-getter with a whopping 296 runs at an average of 59.20 and a strike rate of 104.22. Rahane, meanwhile, was fourth with 244 runs at an average of 48.80.

In the previous ODI series against Sri Lanka, the Indian top 3 had once again dominated their opponents. Kohli ended the series as the top run-getter with a brilliant average of 110, followed by Rohit, who amassed 302 runs at an average of 75.50.
