National ice skating championship moved from Shimla to Gurgaon

National ice skating championship has been moved from Shimla, where the ice skating rink was natural, to Gurgaon due to low snowfall earlier this year.

More than 100 ice skaters will be participating at the event to be held at iSKATE in Ambience Mall. An artificial rink of about 450 square feet will be their ground for competition.

The 14th National Ice Skating Championship will be hosted in Gurgaon on October 1 and 2. Most of the competitors are from southern India.

Judges of the event are Jagraj Singh Sahni, ice skating coach, and Vasudeva Sharma, who represented India in roller and ice skating competitions and has bagged two bronze medals in the Asian Games.
