AP CM to take stern action over Kanigiri brutal incident

Prakasam, Sept 27: The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed serious concern over Kanigiri brutal incident in Prakasam district on Wednesday.

He also directed the State Woman Commission chairperson Nannapaneni Rajkumari to condole the victims family.

He enquired about the incident details from Prakasam district Collector and SP and directed them to book cases against the accused under relevant sections.

The victim Devi is a student in a local degree college in the area. She and her friend have molested by both the friends and tried to rape Devi.

The accused were already taken into custody. It is known that a student attempted rape on girl where his friends filmed the video.

In the video, she begging the accused not to assault her. After the video uploaded in social media, the victims family members lodged a complaint with police.

The Civil organizations and women associations across the state demanded stern action against the accused.
