Centre sanctioned Rs.2800 crores for Polavaram Project

New Delhi, Sept 26: The Central Govt has finally given the green signal to sanction pending amount of Rs 2800 cr towards Polavaram project in Andhra Pradesh here on Monday.
The Centre has shown its soft stand forwarding the same to National Bank For Agriculture And Rural Development (NABARD), from where the fund has to come. They said the approval took place after Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's meeting with the Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources Nitin Gadkari in Delhi.
In the meeting that lasted for more than one hour, AP CM discussed with the minister over the issues of National Highways, Polavaram development, interlinking of rivers etc.
Following the meet, the Centre has given its approval to sanction the pending funds of Rs 2800 crore towards the Polavaram project in Andhra Pradesh.
