M.Tech Student found dead in Hostel

Kerala, Sept 24: Here is a drastic incident has appeared while a 23 yr old engineering student was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his hostel room on Saturday morning.

The information reported that the deceased identified as Arun Krishna was pursuing MTech in Nano Technology at National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Kozhikode. He had been staying alone in his room for the last few days as his roommate had gone home for holidays.

His classmates told the police that there was nothing unusual about his behavior. Arun, who was from Thiruvananthapuram, had joined the NIT in June.

After repeated calls by a classmate went unanswered, the hostel warden and security personnel were alerted. The hostel warden informed the police who broke open the door and rushed him to the hospital around 11 am, where doctors declared him brought dead. His body has been sent for postmortem at the Kozhikode Medical College.

The police are looking for possible reasons for his death. No suicide note was found, they said. Investigations are underway.
