Bomb blast in Myanmar Rakhine mosque; 20 houses dozed in fire

Even after the statement of Myanmar's civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi , declaring cease of military's "clearance operations" in the border area, fresh violence errupted.

Twenty homes caught fire and a bomb was detonated near a mosque in Myanmar's Rakhine state.

The Myanmar government claimed that military is just attacking rohingya militants who attacked police posts on Aug 25. However, images of satellite show around 200 villages reduced to ashes.

The civillian refugees also said that the soldiers and vigilante Buddhist mobs burned their villages and killed thousands of people. This has fuelled accusations that Myanmar's army is systematically purging a Muslim minority haunted by years of persecution.
