Modi Started fasting for Navratri

New Delhi, September 23: Navaratri festival season has begun in India. On the occasion of Navratri, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a nine-day fasting period starting from Thursday.

During this period, Modi offer prayers to goddess Durga and only have water for nine days.

PM Modi has been observing these fasts for over four decades and there has not been much change in his working schedule during this period.



In a tweet, PM Modi has offered prayer to Goddess Shailputri. The Prime Minister shared a youtube link of a Stuti to the Goddess.

Navratri festival started from Thursday and will culminate on September 30.

Goddess Durga is the symbol of power, prosperity, wealth, and health and hence nine forms of Durga are celebrated during this time.
