India expected to focus on Pakistan, terrorism

New Delhi, September 23: Earlier, the Country India has said that Pakistan as "Terroristan", in response to Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's claims of human rights violations in areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

In its reply, India's First Secretary to the United Nations, Eenam Gambhir, said Pakistan has no right to raise Kashmir issues on international forums.

India further described Pakistan as a “failed state”.

From this aspect, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is scheduled to address the 72nd session of United Nations General Assembly Session on Saturday in New York.

She held a series of multilateral meetings, including with leaders of BRICS, IBSA, SAARC and India-CELAC. External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar told reporters on Friday, "In almost all the multilateral engagements which EAM (External Affairs Minister) had, a reference to the counter-terrorism has been a common thread in most of the press releases and statements. This is something which has come out very strongly."
