Earthquake of magnitude 4.5 hits Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu Kashmir. September 23: An earthquake has erupted in Srinagar at 5:44 am in the morning today.

The officials have identified it has medium intensity earthquake, No casualties have been reported.

The monitoring agency United States Geological Survey or USGS recorded the quake's intensity as 4.50 on the Richter scale, a yardstick used to check an earthquake's strength.

Kashmir is situated in a highly sensitive seismological region and temblors have caused damage here in the past.
More details are awaited and no casualties have been reported till now.
