Sindhu world no 2, Saina retains 12th position

India's star badminton player P.V. in the latest release of the World Badminton Federation, has reached number two in women's singles with two place improvement. While Tai tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei is at number one.

Sindhu, who recently won the Korea Open title, reached the top of the rankings for the second time in the career. Sindhu, who won the silver medal in the Olympics, reached the second position in the ranking on 6th April this year. While London Olympic bronze medalist Saina Nehwal ranks 12th in the ranking



Apart from that, Caroline Marin of Spain remains at number 5, while world champion Japan's Nozomi Okuhara has climbed up one place to 8th position. In the men's singles ranking, Kidambi Srikanth remains at 8th place while B Sai Praneeth and HS Prannoy have slipped down one place each. Sai Praneeth 17th and HS Prannoy have fallen on the 19th place. Ajay Jayaram also dropped three places to the 20th rank in the rankings.
