Amaravati, Sept 22: Here is a good news for transgenders of Andhra Pradesh.The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has announced on Thursday that the transgender community will be supported by the government with housing, ration cards and pension of Rs.1000.
In first of its kind, Naidu also said that employment opportunities will be created so that they can be a self-sustainable community.
"CM instructed all the collectors to ensure that transgenders avail the govt. schemes of housing, ration, and pensions," tweeted the official Twitter account of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier, Mr.Naidu also asserted that the state government is planning to provide pensions to the transgender community in order to provide equality and a better living standard to every individual of the state.
