VK Sasikala Barred as director,4 companies deregistered

Chennai Sept 20: In a bid to curb black money and prevent Money laundering Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs has decided to 'Name and Shame' the directors who were disqualified last week for associating with shell companies or the companies.

Earlier last week the Union Government has barred 1.06 lakh directors from taking up any positions in the companies.The government yesterday has made 55,000 directors name public so that any other companies appoint them.

politicians, businessman, top civil servants and, and police officers were named by the ministry.

The maximum number of directorships in this category was from
Delhi (74,920),Mumbai (66,851), Hyderabad (41,156), Ernakulam (around 14,000), Cuttack (13,383), Ahmedabad (10,513), Gwalior (9,628), Pune (4,449), Puducherry (1,605), Himachal Pradesh (1,363), Coimbatore (1,299), Shillong (1,290) and Chhattisgarh (889).

Union Government Has said many more names of directors would be made public in coming days.
